Subsidiary broke alertly in her first career start, set a pressured pace, and then drew off to capture a 4 1/2 furlong Maiden Special contest on the Saturday, June 2 card at Woodbine.
The juvenile filly by Central Banker was bred by Shannondoe Farm principals James Everatt, Janeane Everatt, and Arika Everatt-Meeuse out of the winning Clever Trick mare Wouldthisbemagic. She is also the first winner for her sire, a Grade 2 winner by Speightstown standing at McMahon Thoroughbreds in New York.
Subsidiary was offered at the 2017 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky select yearling sale with South Point Sales and hammered down for $70,000, the highest price for a first crop Central Banker filly. Gabe and Jess Grossberg signed the ticket.
