Caren, a four-time stakes winner bred by the Everatt family, was named a Sovereign Award finalist in two categories – Two-Year-Old Filly and Female Sprinter.

A bay filly by the Shannondoe Farm stallion Society’s Chairman, Caren reeled off three straight victories to begin her career, including the Shady Well Stakes and Nandi Stakes. After a strong third in the Grade 2 Natalma Stakes in her turf debut, she rolled to two more blacktype wins in the Victorian Queen Stakes and Princess Elizabeth Stakes when switched back to Polytrack.

Caren finished her juvenile season with five wins from six starts and a bankroll of $340,818. She helped make Society’s Chairman Canada’s #1 first crop sire in 2015.
