A colt by leading sire Society Chairman sold for $150,320 (USD) at the 2019 CTHS (Ontario) Premier Yearling sale. The price is the highest paid for a colt and one of only three 6-figure final bids at this year’s auction.
The colt was bred and raised at the Everatt family’s Shannondoe Farm, where Society’s Chairman stands. The Everatts also consigned the colt under the Shannondoe Farm banner.
The attractive dark bay is the first foal out the Malibu Moon daughter Jademarie and hails from a highly productive female family that’s been cultivated by the Everatts.
Jademarie earned over $100,000 in her racing days and is a daughter of Grade 2 winner and multiple Stakes producer Jill Robin L.
Jill Robin L is a half sister to Society’s Chairman’s Horse of the Year Caren, another bred, raised and sold by Shannondoe Farm.
